"At Heavens Gate"
A Poem by the Pawn Master
The Game of Chess, I Must adore,
'Cause win or lose, I'm back for more.
I move the pieces with such glee,
My heart beats with revelry.
Time stands still for a moments pause,
And takes me further from it all.
My eyes are glued onto the squares,
Unconscious of who's sitting there.
Made for young and the growing old,
Its time I had my story told.
At Heaven's gate, when I go in,
I hope to play some chess again.
