Home of the Mobile Electronics Program for Team DMTC

Daniel Morgan Technology Center is one of three career centers in Spartanburg County. DMTC serves both Broome High School (District 3) and Spartanburg High School (District 7) with a wide array of career based programs.

In addition to Mobile Electronics, DMTC teaches classes in Automotive Technology, Graphics, Machine Tool, Computer Aided Drafting, Culinary Arts, Building Construction, Health Sciences, Marketing, Protective Services, Electricity, and Welding. Students from both high schools range in grade level from sophomores to seniors.

Students are provided counseling services prior to registration and are assisted in selecting courses compatible with their goals, interests, and abilities. All courses are open to male and female students. Prior to admission, students will be advised concerning the employment outlook for courses and possible termination of a course if the job placement rate falls consistently.

Students have the opportunity to participate in a School-to-Work program in most courses. Job placement services are provided to assist students and graduates in finding employment in related fields.All students enrolled in a one or two-year course will receive employability skills training which will include how to apply for a job, how to interview for a job, and work attitudes on the job.
